Please note that your image data cannot be edited or trimmed before printing. The printing data is automatically generated by the system for the format selected in each case after submission of your order, and transferred to the production server. The respective preview that you were shown during the format selection stage is always decisive for the printing result, in particular also regarding possible image content loss due to varying aspect ratios between the preview and the printing format. In this, the system automatically carries out a bleed of the image data, and this is done symmetrically on the necessary pages. The system, after you have uploaded the file, automatically suggests all suitable canvas formats independent of the resolution and the aspect ratio. Please note that fuzzy image data and graininess due to artificially created resolution are not recognised by the system and can lead to a poor quality printing outcome (in these cases there are no grounds for complaint).
You can order your canvas in two different designs. You have the choice between a circa 2 cm wide stretcher frame or a very representative circa 4 cm wide gallery stretcher frame. You can also choose from four different types of border.

In order to be able to get an idea of the deficiency, it is sufficient to take one or two digital photos of the article being about which you are making a complaint, and to send them along with your order number and a short description of the deficiency by email to info@picanova.co.uk. Please do not return the goods to us. As soon as we receive the photos by email, and have received a response from our production department for this, we inform you of whether and how we can help you further. As the ordered goods are an individualised printed product, revocation is excluded. In case of complaint, however, we of course strive for later improvement.
After successful placement of an order, you automatically receive an order confirmation which is sent to the e-mail address you provided when ordering. This may go to your spam folder, and therefore please check this folder if you cannot see your order confirmation. The phone cases are produced with a margin caused by the production process. Therefore important parts of the image and text should be placed about 10 mm away from the sides of the image since they can get lost due to production processes.

The resolution and the aspect ratio of your photo are decisive here in order to be able to guarantee results that are qualitatively as high-quality as possible. In order to be able to select larger formats, you need to upload a photograph with a higher resolution and/or another aspect ratio.

Acrylic glass printing: the photo is mirror-printed on acrylic glass
Your photo will be located directly on polished acrylic glass using UV direct printing and curing technology. With this 6 colour printing technology, even subtleties will be clearly presented, and even large colour areas will recognise deep rich colours. The rear side of the high-quality 3 mm thick acrylic glass plate is provided with a special vinyl. This creates the opaque and homogenous white background, which ensures faithful colour reproduction of your photo. High-quality material and modern technology prevent the colours from fading and make the acrylic glass print particularly resistant to light and water, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
Aluminium Dibond print: the photo is printed in photo quality on premium film
Your photo is printed on a high-quality, glossy vinyl with solvent-free HP latex inks, which enables your motif to be presented in maximum resolution. Then, using a special procedure, the film is applied evenly and precisely onto the 3 mm thick aluminium composite panel, whose centre consists of a hard, black plastic core, ensuring both stability and lightness. In addition, the print is finished with a transparent glass foil, which not only protects your image against radiation, but also ensures a brilliant appearance.
Acrylic glass print: UV direct printing and curing technology allows for a picture with maximum sharpness and the finest colour reproduction directly on polished acrylic glass. With this 6 colour printing technology, even finer details can be accurately represented, and even large colour areas will recognise deep, rich colours.
Aluminium Print: With state-of-the-art technology (6 colour printing procedure) a high-quality, glossy vinyl shall be printed using solvent-free HP latex inks, enabling your motif to be presented in maximum resolution.
The prints can be used outdoors. In outdoor environments, acrylic and alumimium prints are normally resistant to UV and water for up to 3 years. We also laminate our prints to make our products last for as long as seven years outdoors.
You can also order appropriate wall brackets for your pictures. We will deliver you a suspension set consisting of a self-adhesive suspension plate with an eye, and 2 self-adhesive rubber spacers. You can locate them at specific places on the rear side of your product. Our suspension is particularly suitable: it is invisible while giving a freely lavish character to the aluminium Dibond / acrylic glass print.
For a good result, the resolution of your digital camera should not be less than 4 megapixels. With resolutions of 2 megapixels, we can still present your picture in good quality in smaller formats.
On picanova.co.uk, one thing we don't do is offer you the chance to order a poor-quality aluminium Dibond or acrylic gas print. Your image will be verified during the upload process, and after this you will be shown only the formats that are eligible given the quality of your photo.

Under Section 2 of your order process ("Select Format") you will find a list containing the print formats that are possible with your motif. If your desired format should not be shown, then the reason is usually one of the 2 that follow. Either the resolution of your image file is not sufficient or the aspect ratio of your image file deviates too much from your desired format.
The aspect ratio describes the length-width ratio of an image. Generally, the usual ratios are the 3:2 format and the 4:3 format. On picanova.co.uk, these formats and many more e.g. panoramic formats, quadratic formats and DIN formats are offered. If the aspect ratio of your image deviates from that of your desired motif by too much, then your desired motif will indeed not be available; otherwise, it will be necessary to trim your image file to considerable extent in order for your desired format to be generated. You can obtain the desired format by changing the format of your motif prior to making your order.
As far as subsequent editing of your pictures is concerned, it is best to use current software e.g. Adobe Photoshop, Corel Paint, PaintShop Pro or IrfanView. However, during the order process and the configuration, picanova.co.uk also offers you the chance to subsequently convert your image black and white under the "Effects" option.
Yes, you can also upload images in black and white. And you can of course also subsequently convert a normal colour image e.g. into black and white (under the "Effects" option) during the order process.
Please bear in mind that your image files cannot be edited or cut in any way prior to printing. The print files will be generated by the system, in the selected format, immediately after your oder is placed and transmitted to the production server. The respective thumbnail, which you will receive during the format selection, is decisive in the print result; especially given that the motif may be lost as a result of deviating page ratios between template and print format. With this, the system automatically trims the image files (symmetrically) at the required sides. The system will automatically ask you to select all appropriate screen formats after the file is uploaded, depending on the resolution and the page ratio. Please note that unsharp image files and coarse pixeling are not recognised by the system due to artificially created resolutions, and can lead to a bad print result (no refunds can be claimed in such cases).
Step 1:
Using sandpaper, clean the area at the back of the print on which you would like to place the wall mount. This helps the wall mount stick firmly. After doing this, go over the area with a piece of lint-free cloth dampened with isopropyl or rubbing alcohol and let it dry off.
Step 2:
Measure and mark with a pen the position at the back of the print on which you would like to place the wall mount. To ensure the wall mount is stuck perfectly straight, place the wall mount (with the anti-adhesive paper still attached) onto the back of the print and trace out its outline.
Step 3:
Take off the anti-adhesive paper from the wall mount and check once again that the back of the print is clean. Press the wall mount evenly onto the print.
Step 4:
Lay the print reverse-side up on a flat surface. This will allow the adhesive to dry and harden. Your print will be ready to hang in 24-48 hours.
1. Do not hang the print directly over a heater or under direct sunlight. This helps preserve the ink on the print so you may continue enjoying it.
2. We recommend hanging larger print sizes by mounting them onto at least two nails or screws driven into the wall. Please refrain from hanging large prints onto just a single nail or screw with a cord or an alloy wire.
3. Clean your print using a dry, soft, lint-free cloth – such as microfibre – while preferably wearing soft fabric or vinyl gloves.
4. Please be gentle with your print when cleaning it. Do not use unnecessary force.
5. Do not use any abrasive cleaners, mops, brushes, aggressive detergents, degreasing or spray cleaners, glass cleaners or rubbing alcohol that contain more than 5% acetone, benzene or carbon tetrachloride on your print. Cleaning your print with any of these materials will tarnish it.

In order to enable your goods to reach you undamaged, we only use high-quality special packaging for our products. Our canvas print panel products are, for example, are furnished with an extra layer of edge protection, so that the corners are not damaged in transit. Most of our products are also wrapped in a firm air cushion foil.
Our products are sent with UPS. Out-sized formats, such as 120x90cm formats, are delivered by GEL-Express Logistik.

If you are not at home when your order is delivered, UPS /GEL takes your parcel away with them and leaves a message. The courier either makes a second attempt at delivery the next day, or leaves your parcel with a neighbour or in a parcel shop near you. If you know in advance that you will not be at home for the entire day, you can generally inform the courier service of this by telephone and agree another delivery appointment. If the courier service has left your parcel in the parcel shop for pick-up because you could not be reached, you have up to 9 working days to pick your parcel up. If the parcel is not picked up within the deadline, the parcel is returned to us. In this case, a new delivery on our part unfortunately is carried out at your cost.

Unfortunately, you cannot provide a Packstation as a shipping address. We only deliver with UPS, and for over-sized parcels with GEL-Express-Logistik. Our couriers cannot go to a Packstation.
For shipping to European non-EU countries such as Switzerland, customs duties can be levied by the courier. Please note that these fees are always borne by the recipient.
If your product is damaged, you can complain about this with our customer service. Please take a photograph of the product including the packaging so that we can establish whether the damage has occurred during shipment or during production. Please contact us at info@picanova.co.uk. You do not need to send the damaged product back to us.
If the delivery does not correspond to your order, please first check your order data alongside the invoice. If your order does not agree with the order data, please inform our customer service.
If your order deviates in colour from your template, this is usually due to the settings on your monitor. Our printers are checked regularly and print your image corresponding to your template. If your product shows extreme colour deviations, please inform our customer service and send us a photo of your product.
If your image is fuzzy or blurred, this is usually due to the resolution of your photo not being suited to the selected image size, or the original photo being blurred. Unfortunately we cannot accept any complaint made on the basis of low resolution. Therefore, make sure you test during the order process whether the resolution of your photo is sufficient for the desired format.
If your accessories are damaged, you can make a complaint about this within 14 days. For this, please inform our customer service.
In the unlikely case that your delivery is incomplete, please contact our customer service. We will of course immediately take care of your missing products. Please note that products with different packaging formats will be sent separately. Therefore, there can be up to 3 deliveries.
Unfortunately, reimbursement of your money for individually-manufactured products is not possible. Our products are manufactured individually in accordance with your guidelines and cannot be used after a return. In accordance with § 312d Paragraph 4 No. 1 , German Civil Code, there is no right to revocation in the ordering of goods that are produced to customer specification or clearly tailored to the personal requirements of the customer. For this reason, you have no right to revocation in ordering canvas prints with individual overprint in accordance with the German Civil Code contract for work. If your product is damaged or parts of the delivery are missing, please contact our customer service. Of course, in the case of valid complaint, we strive for reasonable later improvement. In the unlikely case that we, after two attempts at later improvement, have still not delivered a flawless product, we are of course prepared to refund you your money as the law prescribes.
